Stay with a Medical Student!

Congratulations on your upcoming interview. At Creighton, we realize that traveling to and from interviews can become expensive. In an attempt to help you reduce the financial burden of hotel expenses, we would like to invite you to stay with a Creighton medical student. In addition to saving money, you can experience first-hand what medical school life is like here at Creighton University. You are welcome to stay 1, 2, or 3 nights at the home of one of our medical students. The hosting program is entirely run by the students of Creighton and is strongly encouraged to help you get a feel for the Creighton community.

Your host will provide:

• Transportation to and from the airport, train, or bus station
• A comfortable place to sleep
• Transportation to Creighton for your interview
• Transportation to the Friday evening dinner with medical students

Staying with a student is a great way to relieve some of that pre-interview anxiety. It is also a chance to learn more about Creighton University and the city of Omaha. Most importantly, you will get to experience Creighton's supportive atmosphere and friendly, energetic student body. We are extremely proud of this program, and we encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity.

To secure your place with us, we need to have an online form completed no later than the Sunday before your interview. Requests after this date cannot be guaranteed.

You will have the opportunity to pay with a major credit card via the provided PayPal link after you complete our form. Alternatively, you will also have the option to pay via check or money order. Details will be provided after you complete the online registration form. The cost of this program is $40 for each night you wish to stay with a host.

You will receive an email confirming the receipt of your registration form. We know you are anxious to come to Omaha but keep in mind that Hosts are not assigned until the Monday or Tuesday of your interview week.  Your assigned host will contact you by no later then Tuesday Evening, provided we have received your registration information, so please check your email!  If you have not heard from your host by Wednesday please go ahead and contact Rick Carlson (see below).

Please remember that your host is a medical student and may need to study, so please come prepared to occupy your time.
